I am originally from Calgary, Alberta. I have spent the last 4 1/2 years doing my undergraduate degree at UVic, and now that I am finished, there is more time for music! Outside of music, I enjoy hockey (I have a shameful knowledge of NHL trivia), culture, reading (Chuck Klosterman is my personal jesus!), getting rowdy once in awhile and meditating.
Now that I am done school, I am looking to play some more gigs and generally get my music out to people. In any music project I am involved with, my main values center around having fun, not taking things too seriously, and getting along with the people in the band/group.
For the last three years, I have been writing comedy songs that detail awkward things that have happened in my life. I have played at venues such as Lucky, Sopranos and the Victoria Events Centre. I also have experience with show planning, promotion and execution. I am open to starting a more serious project, particularly with people who might be interested in some of the same bands as me.
I have really come to enjoy the local music scene in Victoria, especially the following artists: Maurice, The Racoons, Vince Vaccaro, Aidan Knight, Mike Edel, The Paper Cranes, Synapse and Immaculate Machine.
As far as all-time influences, I have been known to dabble into: Weezer, Nirvana, Pavement, The Cars, Attack in Black, Alexisonfire, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, The Dudes and Tom Petty- to name a few.
