About

Modern Lakes

since circa 2008
Modern Lakes are a Canadian Indie-Rock band from Mission, British Columbia. The band consists of Brian Holt (Vocals, Guitar), Heather Konkin (Vocals, Keys), Eugene Burton (Bass Guitar), and Patrick Doyle (Percussion). Modern Lakes formed in the summer of 2008 as the backing band to Holt's acoustic project called Sound and Silence. As the band's music and style developed it was decided a new name was in order. After a short few months Modern Lakes began working together on material in an effort to release a new EP. Produced and recorded by Holt and Hayz Fisher, 'Better Times' was released as their debut EP in September 2009.
