The Queer Soul Revival is seeking new members to create and cover choice tunes with a global sound and a cosmic grooviness.Any and all instruments needed but especially: guitars, sitars, tablas/drums, bass (of course!!), keyboards, etc. Musicians who know the spiritual potential of art, the shared experience that makes us human...
The goal is an ecstatic experience of pure soul, for the audience and performers. Starting with some choice cover tunes, hopefully we can create a new body of work that is fun, uplifting, and anything but shallow or vapid, entertaining on many levels and reaching a diverse audience.
Examples of some covers:

Back on the Chain Gang (with sitar/tabla)

Right by Your Side--funked up good
Do you wanna funk? -- queer soul classic
Someone Like You--speeded up but bittersweet
a bit of Smiths for fun
and a lot of classic but less covered CanCon. I feel performing cover tunes helps to keep the song alive and relevant for new generations.
