After arriving in Toronto, Canada in 1998, Danny Deane quickly went to work establishing himself as an "up and coming" talent in the Toronto recording scene. His debut self-titled EP has earned him top marks from several local producers and managers. One of Toronto's premiere advertising/marketing firms recently announced the creation of a web-based label, 64k Records to offer support to the artist through the web and retail distribution. All this from a self-produced 6 song demo.
"I wrote, performed and produced the entire recording in my bedroom!" laughs Deane, "I played almost every part but I got some great help when it came to several of the guitar solos and I also used some additional drum performances. I don't consider myself much of a guitar player so I had some friends help out. I also brought in Toronto drummer, Johnny Leroy for a little 'human touch' on the drum parts"
In the Summer of 2000, Deane will re-record this material along with 7 other new tracks to form his first full-length solo release under the 64k label. "I'm eager to hear this material with the support and input of other musicians, in the context of being a band, not just me preparing for my next band,..."
