From his success introducing emerging sounds like electroclash and nu-disco to Vancouver's gay nightlife. To headlining club nights in Seattle, San Francisco, Toronto and on Vancouver Island, TAFFI LOUIS has steadily built a unique reputation as a DJ defying simple categorization and reaching further.
In 2014, his edits and reworks have won support from the likes of techno/electro icon The HACKER, Brooklyn modern disco ensemble MIDNIGHT MAGIC, and ITALO BRUTALO (Mozzarella Rec.), among others.
He's recently appeared alongside locals like Abasi (Intimate Productions), Rennie Foster (RF, Rebirth), Woodhead (Homebreakin Records), as well as Nark (Seattle), La Royale (Electrique Music - Mexico City), and many others selectors & tastemakers.
Art Of Beatz Radio (100.5FM) calls TAFFI LOUIS “a mastermind… leading the charge”, twisting notions of past and present musical genres into new possibilities. As likely to draw inspiration from vintage sounds (italo-disco, '80s synthpop) as modern (techno, house, electro), separately or combined. His DJ sets are dynamic, responsive portraits of the audience and the moment. But there is no one "typical" kind of set, each one unfolds and tells its own story.

HRISTO [Friendly Monster Records & Honey Disco]
Raised by a rare music collector while growing through a major revolution period of dance culture of Eastern Europe; later discovering western Europe’s underground music scene, Hristo has experienced and learnt a lot and he has brought it with him to the Canadian west coast. His sets are built with erotic stompers, vintage progressive psychedelics and cosmic funk combined with modern dance sounds; all timeless grooves forming an epic, character rich dance cocktail that takes mind and body on a journey.
Hristo’s 12” vinyl only project Friendly Monster Records marked the beginning of his 2014 music endeavours featuring cuts from him, Koosh and Osmose, both legendary masters with regular limited vinyl only releases. Hristo is also the guy behind Honey Disco Records, experimental label releasing oddity looking and sounding records that are gaining more and more popularity in the underground scenes throughout the world. Started as an experiment back in 2011 with an annual release schedule now the label is featuring some really obscure cuts from Hristo, Koosh and Eddie C. As per usual there is a release party celebrating each release and now also with the idea of doing one in a different location around the world. So far Victoria and Berlin have been put on the map with next one coming out this summer set to be in another major city on the west coast. Hristo edits and reworks are also featured on Smokecloud Records. Osmose’s Atlanta based vinyl only label that is featuring tracks by some very well established and regarded talents in the industry.
