Event Description

How many brilliant composers has history unfairly forgotten?

In this CBC Music and Music on Main collaboration, Revival Hour uncovers long-overlooked composers and explores the reasons behind their erasure from public memory. Performed by Yolanda Bruno, Diamanda La Berge Dramm, Olivia Blander, and Isabelle David, Revival Hour salvages “deserving music from the scrapheap of history” (CBC).

Join host Paolo Pietropaolo in CBC’s legendary Studio 1, where many of our country’s greatest recordings have been made, to experience irresistibly beautiful music by Canadian composers Auguste Descarries, André Mathieu, Sophie Eckhardt-Gramatté, and Ann Southam.

You won’t hear this music anywhere else.
