Music: Funk / R&B, Hip Hop / Rap, Jazz / BluesOn Saturday May 5, the GCG finale at the White Eagle Hall will take place in collaboration with the Rocksteady Collective Multimedia Arts Exhibition which returns as a launch for Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival to present visual and culinary arts from a variety of local artists. The connection between soul, r&b and funk, and hip-hop will be evident at this visual, auditory and culinary extravaganza that will also showcase some of the finest up and coming local soul, jazz and funk acts in the Capital region including The Phatfunks and Jonnie 5 Brass Band. This is a free, all ages event until 9:30pm, when a cover charge will be in effect so be sure to get here before 9pm to check out the incredible visuals and food.

The Phatfunks are a group of 6 talented young musicians hailing from Victoria, Canada. Ranging in age from 16-19, the band attends local high schools, and the University of Victoria.
