Mark Lavoie

I've Played bass for 14 years now and have been gigging for 12. I try and concentrate on creating a solid foundation on which other members of an ensemble can build sonic ideas to there fullest potential. Bass as a Base for a pyramid of sound. My influences range: James Brown Funk, Motown, Free Jazz, Classic Standard Jazz Big Band and small ensemble, Sixties Rock, Old and new skool hip hop and post rock. I play Acoustic and electric Basses, and am always into playing with new People and new styles of music.
