| DEATH User Info... | Wholy fucking shit. Akylore, man you're definately gonna be wanting this!!!!! These norse bastards were spoken of by a friend to me, I was told they were an upcoming norse band that is going to rip through the competition, and apparently in a short time they have quite the cult following them appearing in europe. Well I threw on God Was Created and to my pleasent suprise, wasn't just another pummeling deathmetal band, which obviously would kick ass, but no, It's another band from the genre I can't get enough of: Epic Deathmetal. This albums composition isin't going to floor you with technicality a la cryptopsy... It will floor you with extremely well done epic melodies in an almost Amon Amarth vein. Not to say the album isin't without it's technical parts, the band is definately tight, there are meny well placed drum blasts, the guitaring isin't half as meloncholy as alot of the older epic bands, it has more of an upbeat - viking pillaging the infadels sort of feel to it, the second you put on the album you can definately feel that viking style mood the Norse are so damn well known for. This band has qualities of Opeth, Vital Remains, Amon Amarth and just wholy christ I'm stopping at the 3 before I get carried away... Needless to say I'd definately like to hear your views on this one as I think it's an instant classic, there is no doubt I will have this cd for years to come. 10/10 for Epic DM is what id give these guys hands down, check em out!!! \m/ *Another plug-hehe-*: I will definately be playing some of these guys next Monday @ Logan's !!! - Tue, 30 Sep 2003 3:39pm | ||
