i was slow to post anything about this album cause i had to chew on it a while.

i don't think it is the flaming lips best album..it isn't "soft bulletin" or "yoshimi battles the pink robots"...however that being said it has some really great songs on it. it just doesn't really feel like a great overall album like the last few have.

that being said some really interesting things are done and the lyrics remain powerful and important.

worth checking out if you are a lips fan. - Mon, 26 Jun 2006 11:03pm

I was witness to the FL "Parking Lot Experiment" in Austin TX a few yrs ago. A ton of kids crammed in a multi-level parking lot waiting around while they synced up a bunch of.. car stereos I think? I dunno, everyone was pretty excited though. I met & hung out with some nice people that afternoon, which was kinda fun. - Tue, 27 Jun 2006 2:08am

I love this album. I feel as though I could still listen to it months down the line which is quite difficult lately with all the shitty subpar crap coming out. It's very well produced I must say. Lots of hidden stuff going on. I think The WAND sounds a bit too much like the song "Cars" by Gary Numan. - Tue, 27 Jun 2006 6:02pm
