Well since someone asked what you felt was the biggest disappointment this year, I ask, "What do you feel was the biggest surprise this year" (eg. band or CD).

The one big surprise for me (and it came out a few years ago): Styles of Beyond - Megadef. Nine Thou (Superstars Remix) was featured on the new Need For Speed game (sorry, I just went blank), worth a listen at least. This year, I was surprised to hear the new AFI CD, I could of sworn it was The Used cause of their lead singer (did they get a replacement?!?). Nuff said, discuss... - Fri, 2 Jun 2006 4:03pm Edited: Fri, 2 Jun 2006 4:04pm

Griphin, Davey Havok is still very much the singer for AFI.I wish I could hear the album, guess I'll just have to wait. What aspects of the album make it sound like The Used? - Sat, 3 Jun 2006 5:57pm

I dunno, Davey sure sounds different then he did on Sing the Sorrow (could he be past that "uncomfortable" stage?!?) and WAY different from "A Fire Inside EP" (which rocks). - Sat, 3 Jun 2006 6:08pm Edited: Sat, 3 Jun 2006 6:19pm

Biggest Surprise.... well I was expecting "NIN- With teeth" to be a not-so-good album, I don't know why, but it turned out to be good..which I guess you could say surprised me... That's not really from THIS year but whatever.. Other than that, nothing's really "surprised" me. I usually expect something and either the album disappoints me or it doesn't. - Sat, 3 Jun 2006 6:55pm Edited: Sat, 3 Jun 2006 6:56pm
