what the fuck!

we showed up and waited in the pissing rain under some faulty awning that somehow managed to make me wetter! there were like 30 cops that kept going into the liquor store. i guess parking's difficult sometimes, so they felt the need to park in the middle of the road. anyways, we took off and went to big bad's.

that totally sucked, i really wanted to see the show. what happened? - Sat, 6 Dec 2003 9:42am

They were at (well, above) capacity when I showed up.... I dunno what the cops were up to, but given the Ted Leo incident, management wasn't going to fuck around and get shut down again.....

Or that's the story I got.... I waited and go in in time for most of Chet's set...... - Sun, 7 Dec 2003 11:45pm

yeah, but i heard that it was, like, empty inside even though people were waiting outside.

is the capacity really low or something?

also, what was the deal with all the heat? - Mon, 8 Dec 2003 2:14am

The capacity's 85 now, and it was sold out by 10:00. I suppose they were especially strict about the capacity since the cops were right next door at the liquor store busting someone about something unrelated.

It was a terrific show though. - Mon, 8 Dec 2003 12:36pm

We're resolving the capacity issue--sorry about the rain, though. And the cops were out because some ne'er-do-wells were raising a ruckus in the liquor store. - Tue, 9 Dec 2003 6:44pm
