Wow. The "best show in Victoria" That's really quite something to live up to. With that kind of self-publicity I'm sure it'll be just splendid. I think I have to wash my hair that night though. - Tue, 28 Oct 2003 9:14pm

fucking awesome!!!!!!!! KICKBACK owned the stage. Their singer/guitarist is the shit!!! So much intensity. Sent shivers down my spine. I love these guys. Nice guys to talk to too! Element 7 were ok. They had some bad sounding guitars so that took away from an otherwise good performance. A little too much Nickelback influence for my taste though. - Fri, 7 Nov 2003 11:34am

Yeah, not alot of people there but I don't think the venue had the right feel for the music. When i got there, they were playing canned johnny cash to a pub nearly dead save for the older locals. It was a real big fucking change from the packed metal shows that go on there. Great bands though, vocals on both were a bit unclear but otherwise tight. Perhaps a little more promotion in the future, take it from the cocky drunkard staggering around past closing.... - Sat, 8 Nov 2003 8:11pm

"When i got there, they were playing canned johnny cash to a pub nearly dead save for the older locals"

It's true we don't have any real metal CDs in the bar (DEATH brings his own on Monday nights) and none of our bartenders are big metal fans, but when I used to work the bar at Metal shows I really appreciated people giving me CDs to play--might want to try that next time you come to a
show.

Can't do much about the 'older locals,' though... - Mon, 10 Nov 2003 1:41pm

I should also mention that Element 7 and Kickback came through on really short notice to play the show. That probably had a lot to do with the reported low turnout. - Mon, 10 Nov 2003 1:46pm

Dont get me wrong about the older fellows, I dont mean any disrespect. Only making an observation that the bands weren't playing music to fit the atmosphere. Im a big fan of the bar and its one of my favorite wateringholes. Im just saying its too bad these bands didn't have a crowd to feed off of. - Thu, 13 Nov 2003 8:51am

No he's not in the band, but i would like to know who he is too. He's at all our shows but we've never met him before, you'd think he'd talk to us at some point lol. - Thu, 13 Nov 2003 11:56am
