What an awesome show! I was really happy I didn't miss these guys again and I'm also happy it was inside as it rained again as the band graced our Island.

This 17 piece band is one I'll never forget. All the musicians were tight and kept me interested from the beginning right to the end. The horns were great, the keyboard player, the percussion (with awesome singing and dancing the whole way through) - everything was on point. I was especially pleased to see appearances by Ibrahim Ferrer on stage with the younger players. He rocked and he performs like someone that was drank from the fountain of youth although he's in his eighties.

The percussion solo was one of the highlights as well as when Adonis Puentes went up and rocked it singing his heart out. It's amazing how the percussion and main drummer can play at least two different rhythms at the same time all the time without ever really messing up.

I liked that they tried to keep the crowd hyped as much as they could all the time.

The only thing I would say was it would have been nice to have a piano (although they did some creative stuff with the keyboard solos using various sound effects for a couple of the songs).

The other thing is it would have been nice in a venue where everyone could dance from beginning to end. That would be one huge party with people of all ages if it could have been in a venue like the Commodore (but with a the feel of an auditorium).

Anyway this show was definetely another highlight concert of the year for me. - Sun, 12 Nov 2006 3:45am

The dancing was also incredible. The constant dancing on stage from the musicians and even with one of the audience members totally added to the overall party presentation of Juan de Marcos and his Afro-Cuban All Stars. MUY BUENO! - Sun, 12 Nov 2006 3:49am
