Good gig, I know The Remanes was second, but who was the first band up there?!? Sounded great, but the sound needed work (I would of helped but noone chatted with me). Also, who was the old guy with the cane?!? I guess you can't do much without a mixer, but I also got a kick out of the collection of vinyl that was for sale (wow, nice collection!!!) and I'll still say it, were Grey Army CDs actually worth $12?!? I had $10 on me and I would of bought a CD for that much (I have the first CD, not the second one).

In any case, good turnout, I'm amazed how many actually showed up for it. Good scene!!! - Sat, 28 Oct 2006 1:19pm Edited: Sat, 28 Oct 2006 1:24pm

I'm not sure what Garry was, I saw him at 6:45 and he was still trying to find a costume, met him at the show at 7 and he was painted red with a viking hat and some very sexy green tights. So a sexy red viking I guess.
Thanks to wolf and Conrad for getting us on this bill we had a blast, all the bands were great. Loved all Leper props. We haven't had chance to play alot all agers, so this a lot of fun for us. Thanks.

Not really into punk that much but I still went. However I had to leave since a girl I took with me started puking, duly passing out at 7/11 and being greeted by police officers... Really though.. the time we were there, it happened to be a very interesting concert.

Griph: I have seen the old man with the cane on TV before on speakers corner, talking about random things. I think he's just a really old hippie who has done too much acid in his lifetime. - Sat, 28 Oct 2006 7:23pm

Yeah, I was actually concerned he was either gonna attack the bands or someone was gonna get him. - Sat, 28 Oct 2006 11:42pm

this was I think one of the best shows I put on. Thanks all...
esspecailly thanks to the people that helped me so much. If it wasn't for people like chuck, zeff, rayne, dayna, wolf and so on, I could not pull these shows off.
NNB is not really me, it is a effort put forth by many great people...
Thank you every one. - Sun, 29 Oct 2006 8:27pm

ummm.. no.
it is called diy punk, if you don't think I do good enough, do it yourself, instead of bitching how it is not pro enough for you... I am real sick of this crap, I put months effort into this, I worked my ass off, the bands were great, and all you can say is not good enough, lets see you do better. - Tue, 31 Oct 2006 12:44am

Actually I wondered where the mixer was, that's it. I realize that's how we used to do gigs, but aren't mixers really cheap to rent now?!? People pay money to see the bands and support the scene, wouldn't it be cool if they could hear it clearer (and you paid how much to get in?)?!? I'd put a gig on, cept I'd have to buy insurance and pay too much money (bands have to be paid first and foremost). You did pay for insurance, right? You know, you should listen to what people who paid hard earned money have to say rather then fly off the handle, it might actually improve any future gigs you put on. I can see how the sunset room would be awesome with a few improvements, that's all I'm getting at. For future reference, if you need help organizing, please contact me, I work for free remember (this also includes management and PR work).

And I do know what I'm talking about (just ask Jim or anyone on here). Now, quit being so damn critical of people and open your eyes/mind. (you know, I could of freaked about this, but that's not how I behave now.) - Tue, 31 Oct 2006 10:36am Edited: Tue, 31 Oct 2006 2:16pm

as I said, if you don't like how i put on shows, put them on yourself instead of bitching.
and no I don't pay for insurrance, nor have I ever met any one that dose, this is DIY punk rock, get real.
you say you can't do it, I live on the fucking sstreets and I pull em off all the time, and I know pleanty of kids like cordel and tyler and them who also do it, and their in high school. so if we can, so can you.
I keep my door costs as low as possible, all these things are unnessasary, and unrealistic, and cost more money. I often loose money or just break even, and we are happy just to have the shows, and to have the venues, I aint gonna complain if shit is diy, and not like the big time baby... we work with what we got, and I guess thats good enough for most of us, but every so often there seams to be people like you that can not understand and apreciate this, you seam to think we are making money, or we have extra to blow, that every thing should be perfect and pro. sorry this is diy punk rock. - Tue, 31 Oct 2006 6:29pm
