I thought this show was pretty fun and all, atleast it was a black metal show in Fernwood. Someone kept going crazy and attacking random people and the sound could of been better but really it was nice to see a lot of local metallers in one place.

What did everyone else think of this? - Sat, 21 Oct 2006 12:31am Edited: Sat, 21 Oct 2006 12:32am

HOLY FUCKING HELL!!! What a total success!! All the bands played wicked sets and everyone who showed up seemed to have a rad time!! Sound was completely decent for Fernwood. Night Mother performed the best set I've ever seen them do .. plug pulled at the end and the VOCALS were the highlight. Apocalypta was so tight and great people to bat. Shores of Tundra and co.: wicked dudes + dudettes and they did a Blasphemy cover .. my night was made.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED OUT IN PUTTING THIS ON!!!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!! Expect more in the future. - Sat, 21 Oct 2006 9:35am

I missed Night Mother but heard them outside when I showed up, sounds crazy. I saw Apocalypta, they were really good. I liked the Sixpounder cover and the Slayer, that was awesome. Mito, I cannot believe how much they slayed this show, wow is all I can say. Best show I have ever seen them do IMHO, and I've seen many over the years, the four piece thing is working out well. Shores of Tundra were very cool, I had to leave to go drinking half way through but was very impressed. Mito still claims this one.

Thank you for putting on a good sounding Fernwood show guys, nice job. - Sat, 21 Oct 2006 2:50pm Edited: Sat, 21 Oct 2006 2:51pm

Peace, Shawn, I'm so proud of you for making this happen. And not just Shawn, but everyone. Things seemed a little rocky at the beginning but everything worked out wonderfully. I'm so glad all the bands got to play and the sound was freakin amazing! Next time all the little kinks will be worked out and it'll be EVEN BETTER! Great job to all the bands, except the last one, who I didn't see :p

I came during apocalypta. I disagree about the sound, I thought the sound was really muddy, to the point where the fast guitar picking just ended up being a wall of unclear sound. Drums were clear, at least. I liked their recorded song but ended up generally being let down.

Some kids were having fun, running around or tossing their heads or whatever the kids do these days.

I stayed around for three mito songs and gave up, went downtown with my friends, and hung out until my bus.

Happy birthday nick. - Mon, 23 Oct 2006 12:37am

The Night Mother was so fucking awesome....went home for a couple beer so missed the second band....was enjoying the mito set alot until I had to give out a couple old man lectures on mosh etiquette to some flailing halftards....mood compromised, I went back home to roll a dube and couldn't summon the energy to get back off my couch and walk the 2 minutes over to catch the last band. - Wed, 25 Oct 2006 5:48pm
