Is it my place to say this...? Who knows? Anyhow, both these bands, to my knowledge, are playing here on the 1st of October. Everyone in the world should go to this show because these bands will grind your balls....if you are into that. I am. - Sat, 2 Sep 2006 4:03pm Edited: Wed, 20 Sep 2006 10:21am

Misery Index = Absolutly fucking unreal! Sorry folks but the best band of the weekend; No question! The mighty Celtic Frost were awesome last night but this kicked serious ass. What exactly was up with Misery Index's drummer? I dont think there are many that can touch him. Maybe Flo and a couple of others but not many. One of the tightest, fastest most fierce drummers I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few. Almost stayed home on the couch but what a mistake that would have been! Cheers Scott Yet another killer fuckin show! - Mon, 2 Oct 2006 1:11am Edited: Mon, 2 Oct 2006 1:17am

Misery Index ruled.. amazing drummer..

Neuraxis were far better last time they came, but I understand there was some inter band drunkeness going on, and the singer looked gooned. Well they did play Vancouver last night they probably were still partying haha! Also seemed weird without Steven in the band, but the guy from Quo Vadis is a decent fit. - Mon, 2 Oct 2006 10:23am

I'm so happy you guys saw it! Usually if there's 2 good shows happening so close here most only catch one, but I kinda knew Vic would come through. I was telling the bands to look forward to it.
Ftl Butchery & Zuckuss opened ours.. FB have been decent lately and I get so high off Zuckuss I don't expect anything to touch it after. Neuraxis were pretty good.. he kept trying to get us pumped by shouting out about the "vancouver metal scene" though, which killed things dead a few times.
But yeah, MI were extraordinary! THAT DRUMMER! I agree, precious few in his category. I kept thinking that there was absolutely no way we weren't at the better show that night.

I'm sure most thought the same, but do you think we could manage decent cheers here for the bands? me and jordan were laughing later, cuz between me on one side & him a few yards away at the end (& couple remaining buddies pretty much just watching) we tagteamed a pretty pathetic display on our own after all that, which soon fizzled and died. Hahaha.. doesn't matter what kinda show in Vancouver.. STONERS! - Mon, 2 Oct 2006 12:07pm

Sad I missed this show. The money is gone until payday. Perhaps I will get a chance to see them another time.
Hope the turnout was good! - Mon, 2 Oct 2006 4:05pm

The turn out was alright considering. Didn't care much for citadel. Neuraxis would have looked cooler on stage if the bassist hadn't smiled at the crowd so much. (a very unmetal thing to do) The main thing was that Misery Index kicked ass and played a lengthy set. I hope they come again when less people are too nappy to make it to the show. - Tue, 3 Oct 2006 5:47pm

I little pissed that I couldn't make it to 1349 the previous night - I was glad, though, when Silas phoned me up to remind me of M.I. which I had so completely stupidly motherfucking forgot about. COMPLETELY forgot about it. Y'know - being old, and all. Thank-you , Silas - all bands surpassed my expectations.
Where the fuck are Citadel from? I was able to get into their Touch and Go label-style noise rock jams - tuned-down heaviness with sick trade-off vox - I dug. It was the first time I've seen Neuraxis, and despite reports of better performances in the past, I thought they kicked posterior. Great wailin' shit - the singer sometimes reminded me too much of the grunty Coalesce vocalist, though. M.I. were wonderful. F-U-C-K-I-N-G W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L.
On a completely irrelevant non-musical side-note - it was so totally bugging me why that Citadel dude looked familiar, and then I realised a bit later on, and told him, "Hey - you look like the actor Jeremy Davies." He said he didn't know him. And then the fucking M.I. drummer - HE looked like someone......and it was like - yeah - he looked TOTALLY like Ron Livingston, this kinda obscure actor probably best known in "The Cooler" (with W.H. Macy) as the upshot casino manager who ends up completely outschooling that Alex Baldwin bum.
And thank-you, Scott. Thank-you very, very much for bringing M.I. here.
You really rule for that.
And thank-you, Sati, for fuelling the "M.I.-osity". - Thu, 5 Oct 2006 7:18pm Edited: Thu, 5 Oct 2006 7:30pm

I had to work that night which sucked balls. But after burning out from brentwood at mach-4 the bouncers let me in for free to see M.Is last 2 songs. They kicked total ass. Im glad i got to see them at least for a bit as they have been my headphone obsession lately. - Fri, 6 Oct 2006 6:27pm Edited: Fri, 6 Oct 2006 6:28pm
