Halk Tuesday August 16th Cafe Deux Soleils 2096 Commercial Drive Show @ 9 PM Admission by donation Join us for a footstompin' fun evening of Folk Blues Roots Rock & Reggae! Spitcat Serenade is a brand new trio (guitar, bass & drums) and features new original songs composed and written by Laurie Winter and Greg Hathaway. They will also be playing some favourite Roots Roundup songs and some choice / seldom heard covers by artists such as Bob Marley, Bo Diddley, Desmond Dekker and The Clash and more! Spitcat Serenade is Greg on guitar, vocals & harmonica, Kirk Layman from Dubfreque on drums and Brian Dragseth on bass. Lazare S. Halk is singer / songwriter / guitarist originally from Togo, West Africa and will be performing solo original material from his album "Leave Us Free". Lazare is very busy this month, playing this show as well as opening up for Byron Lee & The Dragonaires at the Commodore on August 20th and Michael Franti & Spearhead at Sunsplash In The Park on Sept. 3rd! - Mon, 15 Aug 2005 7:33pm | ||
