| moron User Info... | Just letting folks know that Masa Ansai will be performing together with Sam under The Rita banner. Complete sonic brutality shall ensue. =) If anyone needs advance tickets (i.e. you can't make it until later and the show sells out) drop me a note and I will set it up for you. | moron User Info... | Howdy. The order will be: griefer (between 10:00PM and 10:30PM) flatgrey Funerary Call / Sistrenatus The Rita For those interested, Sistrenatus has just recently been signed to seminal British label Cold Spring: http://www.coldspring.co.uk/artists/sistrenatus.php Should have a full length out early 2006 and a comp appearance this autumn. Good on Harlow as that's quite an amazing set of label mates to have: http://www.coldspring.co.uk/artists.php Cheers http://industrial.org - Wed, 24 Aug 2005 12:20pm | ||

| canon.docre User Info... | The Rita were fucking intense; it felt like they only played for a minute. I really enjoyed Griefer and Funerary Call/Sistrenatus, and sadly missed Flatgrey. Lashen looked like he'd went through an excorsism when he came out right after they played, though. - Sun, 28 Aug 2005 3:10pm | ||
| H. User Info... | Griefer was excellent as usual! The added vocal layers were an excellent addition to their live set. Flatgrey was fucking intense! Total power and aggression! This guy just gets better and better every time I see him. Sistrenatus/Funerary Call... not for me to comment. The Rita destroyed- literally! Short but sweet! If anyone has photos of the Sisternatus/FC set, please forward them my way. Pictures from this gig will be posted on my site sometime next week. http://www.sistrenatus.com - Sun, 28 Aug 2005 4:44pm | ||
| moron User Info... | I've posted my thoughts on the performances here: http://industrial.org/news.php?t=24351 Big thanks to the Logan's staff for putting up with our racket (alt country this was not) and cheers to Scott for keeping the PA in line and being so quick on the between set music draw. I agree, those who skipped this missed out on some major intensity. Cheers - Mon, 29 Aug 2005 10:55am | ||
| Zippgunn User Info... | Terrific show, well organized (as always) by Mo and with lots of variety, especially to a neophyte like myself who likes the stuff but isn't really into the noise "scene" (as it were). Quote of the evening: John Logan (after Greifer's set) "Do all the bands sound like this?" ZG: "No, some are less melodic" - Mon, 29 Aug 2005 11:26pm | ||
| noizengine User Info... | this was an outstanding event! mega props to the organizers, noisicians, the sound guy (i totally did not realize that you were the infamous scott henderson who had recorded the neos, red tide, etc), and all of the open-minded victoria folks there. i kept thinking 'harsh noise and real industrial, real ambient on a weekend night with lots of metal musicians/fans and others who are into it..this could never happen in vancouver...i feel like i'm in europe'. the sub five buck stout didn't hurt either (i think it was the other stuff i drank that had me hurtin). and then there was the surprise of seeing sistrenatus and flatgrey in separate collaborations the following night at the zombie party back in vanillacouver. - Thu, 1 Sep 2005 2:31pm | ||
