| ernie? User Info... | I just can't let this go without saying that that was one of THE best shows! I finally got MoM! I'd enjoyed them before, but this time I thought they were outright amazing. Cuz I could hear better? So much going on, they were insane. I'm so pleased too cuz I know at least half of them are the coolest people. All played well, but both vocalists seemed especially focussed and intense - I totally felt it.. hope they can all do it again! Cambodia got really reaaaally reeeaaaaaally slow though, and I got kinda restless, but there was some warmth and some pretty interesting stuff going on in there, and the high vocals were unlike anything in town - really added a unique dimension... I love that we've got so many hair-raising vocalists here! I've gotta see them again to get more of a feel. Chuck Norris sort of lost me this time, but it may have been cuz I was rattled by some stuff not to do with the bands... I liked a couple of songs quite a bit cuz of the (fuck, i wish i could word stuff right - the rhythm? the structure of the stacatoed vocal part is what i'm getting at - i thought the same thing when I listed to SI's viagrant today) and I love the way that guy's head looks like its gonna explode when he sings. ZUCKUSS!!!! were TOTALLY ON TOP OF THEIR GAME. I didn't think they were a couple weeks ago, but here, they were MONSTROUS, like trained athletes. Jesse seemed a lot healthier that show, and that vocalist! - my vote for best vocals in the city. Between his throat technique (I don't know how to say that?) and his ROAR, he just commands. You guys on the island HAVE to see this. You deserve to. Masters. (and happy b'day to Duncan) And Fuck the Facts.. that was a major treat, again. Its pretty rare that I think a touring band can take on one of our city's very best and actually compete. I'd have to say that they may have been on par with ZUCKUSS!!!!
