Weezer at Commodore Ballroom. Opening band were called... nope, already forgot their name. Who cares, they sounded like Jet meets Maroon Five.

Weezer were dope. They don't use guitar amps any more. They played songs from all of their five albums, EXCEPT nothing from Maladroit, probably because nobody likes that one. The sound guy didn't turn up the solos enough. That Beverly Hills song sounds like The Sweater Song. Some other guy played guitar when Brian played piano. I'm going to eat pasta and drink until I throw it up now. - Wed, 27 Apr 2005 12:21am

what show were you at? weezer sucked. Good thing i got my tickets for free or i would have felt ripped off. Full house..adoring fans..and they looked like they would rather be anywhere else. Did not move. did not show any expression. Did not acknowlegde their fans. You must have paid and feel the need to say they were awesome...cuase they were not awesome...they sucked donkey balls. What an overrated band. and what a boring boring show. - Wed, 27 Apr 2005 1:38pm

and I guess they can have somebody off stage changing all their settings without them messing around on stage.

Didn't Metallica do a similar thing? Kept all their amps & cabs off stage and had people turning pedals on and off and stuff? You could mic the cabs better that way too. - Thu, 28 Apr 2005 12:02pm

actually rivers wanted to -record- with pods because he considers them better than real amps in some ways. the sound must be SO consistent from show to show.. and thats really conforting [especially for the soundpeople].

and IMO.. offstage switching is for cheaters. :) - Thu, 28 Apr 2005 12:10pm
