we had fun playing.

fully loaded
i could hear them much more clearly than at the oak bay room. they have some good rock and roll licks mixed with more modern rock stuff. i think most kids were digging the "say it ain't so" cover. it was pretty faithful to the original form (and matt sharp was in town too!)

jacobs fall
with a cd under their belt, the boys are sounding a lot tighter. the rythmn is still iffy at times, but some of their musical ideas i agree with. good luck on selling those compact discs.

maurice
if you haven't heard these guys, do yourselves a favour and check them out.
drumming is over the top rock-solid, and the ideas are getting better and better for the songs. they had a great mix, mostly their tried-and-tested tunes. some new stuff was good as well. when are these kids going to blow and give me a record? i'll listen to it fo sho.

a good night, and a pleasant show. - Sun, 26 Sep 2004 10:59am

Amen to that, Maurice rock my socks. Black Tie Social are quite good as well, I love watching them play. I was walking a friend home during Fully Loaded though, so unfortunately I have no review, and I'm in Jacob's Fall, so I'll skip that, but Maurice and Black Tie Social were great. Check them both out. - Sun, 26 Sep 2004 11:01pm

I snuck in for the last five songs that Maurice played. I was really impressed. Good music, good drumming, and lots of energy. Good job Maurice.
