| Above the knee User Info... | Local melodic death metal band with a strong following is in need of a proficient guitar player. We are looking for someone who is driven to succeed, is serious about music, able to play lead, owns own gear, and able to tour and practice 2-3 times a week. The ability to write is a bonus but not a necessity. We have been around for 3 years, have toured western Canada, have a well reviewed CD out, merch, and a tour bus. Our next plans are to record a new CD and tour Canada. We are influenced by bands such as In Flames, old Soilwork, Amon Amarth, Machine Head, Dark Tranquility and Scar Symmetry, yet strive to have a sound of our own (devoid of clean vocals so far). If you are looking for a serious gig with the potential of a life in music, this is it. We hope to hear from you so we can keep the shredding alive!
