The following questions are aimed at improving relations between musicians, venues and agents and the quality of performances we all work hard to present. If we all contribute, we may eventually develop a detailed list of paying venues which, in turn, may eventually establish some form of consistency of rates and fees. NOTE: If you have a greivance with a particular venue or representative, communicate with them directly; here is NOT the place to deal with it. Where and when did you play? Was there a written contract (signed by both the venue and the performer)? Is there an actual stage? Approximate size of stage? Quality of visibility of performer(s) from audience area? Approximate size of the audience? How full was the Venue? Was there a door fee and if so, how much? Did you get paid? How much did you get paid? Perks (any free food, drinks, accommodation, etc.)? Any restrictions and/or requirements (content, set duration, etc.)? How many sets and how long were they? How many musicians in your group or act? Is your sound primarily "acoustic" or "electric"? Instrumentation of your group or act? Who provided the PA system? What was the PA System? Who is the person that books shows at the venue and what is their contact info?
