I've already asked a bunch of bands to play but we'll see who can do it and where I have room. Just to give a heads up, I'm asking all the local bands who play to chip in $5 a band member to share the financial burden of putting on shows. Naturally you'll get your money back if we break even, but this never seems to happen. I'm also doing away with 'guestlists', I'm sure anyone who is friends with a band understands that all-ages shows are typically run at a loss and can dig up a few bucks to get in. In the past I've been able to foot the bill, but I'm not currently financially able to do that. I won't be turning anyone away at the door who literally can't afford cover, this isn't some money grab on my part but I doubt I need to even say that. - Wed, 29 Jul 2009 1:56pm | ||
