In today's Times Colonist, a girlfriend has lost a partner, a family its kin and a young girl her dad.

And for the hundreds of musicians who knew him -- even the players who didn't -- the local music community is now without one of its biggest supporters.

Popular drummer Jason Brown, who died last week at 36 after a lengthy battle with cancer, was a music fan right to the end.

Article is now in General Chatter, I figure it's the least I could do, although in the article, the gig that they mention was the first time I saw a gig at the Sunset Room (I was still fucked up from that assault, so I started to go to gigs, I think that was the last gig I've been at), I also saw Jason there! (I figure there's a reason we go places) But even cooler, Gym from Laying Waste(d) gave me a comp. they were on. (Give Us a Break 7) Since I saw AWT was also on it, I went up to Jason and congratulated him for being on it. Funny thing, he didn't even realize AWT were on it. So it's cool I made his day. Also, I was really happy I was able to get Jason a NEOs CD (cause he wanted one) when he was in the cancer ward month's before he passed on.

_Griphin_ listens to AWT-Out of Key and Out of Time (Soundgarden 2002-11-02). I need to find more AWT, preferably video footage (that would be damn nice to find that)!!! - Fri, 9 Feb 2007 11:10am Edited: Fri, 9 Feb 2007 12:41pm
