Garry Oak Room's gotta be the best in town for that descritpion. I think it's $120 a night, and has decent sound, and can pack a good 200 ppl. Don't get Little Fernwood, it sux. Big fernwood's nice, burnside's nice. If your planning a show, drop us some mail, we might be able to help.

I would actually say Little Fernwood is nice, Big Fernwood isn' so good. Little F's sound isn't that great but you can usually get enough people to fill it up and cancel out some of the echo in it. Big F is just that .. too big and echoy (is that a word?) its about as bad if not worse then the Pandora Projects were/are - Tue, 4 Nov 2003 8:25am

Big Fernwood is horrible unless you can pack it, yes. But Garry Oak is up there. Contact them. They're usually pretty uptight about booking all-agers, i think it's one per month, but if you can get it it's an awsome, well known venue. Did I hear that Quadra School is doing all-agers now?? - Tue, 4 Nov 2003 3:54pm
