Do to an insane schedule and various projects, my updates to http://www.brandxmedia.ca have been quite slow. I'm currently seeking folks to write for the publication and have boxes of CDs that need reviewing. If anybody is interested in covering some reviews let me know. The genres are pretty diverse but seem to lean quite a bit to the Indie Pop, Punk & roots vein. If anybody has an album (or show/play/zine for that matter) they'd like to review of any genre - that works to. Thanks for the consideration.
Those interested and want more info check out http://brandxmedia.ca/submit.htm

Thanks folks
Jesse

Done. Emailed you a day or two ago.

Also, I should mention if anybody is interested in reviewing local (ie: west coast) Metal let me know. I don't know fuck all about it, and really don't want my perepherial knowledge to limit the magazine's content - so if anybody is into it, email me.
Local bands are also invited to send in their stuff. Most of what I'm getting is from Vancouver to Toronto and I'd like to keep the whole "local music zine" thing in check...

Cheers,
Jesse

hey jesse!

I'd really be into reviewing cds for you
I play in a local heavy/rock band called Run Like Hell.
And, although my tastes lie alot in that genre, I have apreciation for all types of good music and could tastefully review music in a mature manner without being overly critical. Some metal reviewers aren't tactfull and tend to let thier own preferences guide thier reviews a bit too much. Anyway, E-mail me with any details if you are interested and I will send you my phone number.

I have done a handful of cd and show reviews for Renegade Radio, REK, and Absolute Underground. I was thinking of doing some for the Martlet but then I was too lazy to visit them and see what they have and want. Everyone wants reviewers it seems. I like writing reviews of stuff that I already know I like, indie pop and indie rock, hardcore, emotive hardcore, etc. I don't like writing reviews of music that I am not familiar with though. I think this application isn't going so well. I'm a pretty busy guy also. And I'm pretty bad at remembering submission due dates. In fact, I think anytime I have submitted anything, it's been the night before. Hahaha... uh... yeah. I'll just go ahead and hit post now and you can skip over this. - Fri, 24 Feb 2006 1:54am
