I tend to prefer distortion first, right after the tuner.....

It tend to get less muddy... Mind you, I don't use a wah, never have, and don't intend to ever start... This mostly goes for delay and modulation effects..... - Sat, 28 May 2005 2:28pm

Usually you want wah before distortion, but sometimes it doesn't matter. If you have a really high gain pedal like a Big Muff, some settings will crap out your wah. But that still yields some very cool, if not entirely usable, sounds. - Mon, 30 May 2005 11:14am

i am of the wah after distortion persuasion.
i don't like how the wah sounds "sweeping" through the
distortion pedal. but i also like reverb after delay, so don't
