| lucky bar User Info... | The sunday 2 am think is a lot like the 4 am closures in vancouver. Liquor laws are provincial so to get around every bar being open until 4 am, they made it subject to municipal approval. Same thing with the sunday 2 am. The city has to say its ok. We were the first bar to apply but because of a negative letter from the hostel across the street, we we turned down by the city. Since then, just about every bar has received permission but us. We are in the process of reapplying right now, but it takes some time and is actually quite expensive and there is still no gurantee we will receive it. I can't believe that they would let steamer's open just up the road and then turn down Lucky.
