| Miff Naked | I'll admit that Biff's face is a bit wonky looking, but only in the best sense. She is one fantastic looking girl. But here is where I become disillusioned with her: I went to see her in Victoria last year, excpecting her to be a Canucks fan because she said so on the inside of her latest CD. It just so happened that the night of her show the Canucks were playing the Oilers, and I just happened to have an Oilers pennant, so I brought it along to the show. At some point, I made my way to the front of the stage and held up the Oilers banner right in front of her as she sang. I was going to rip it in half for her, for me, and for every Canucks fan out there, but an instant before I was going to do it she turned away. Great, I thought, now she thinks I'm an Oilers' fan! Anyway, I had another chance later on. This time it worked. So I let the two pieces fall out of my hands onto the floor between the fence that keeps the crowd at bay and the stage (but not ON the stage). After the song was over, she made a comment about making a mess or littering or some such thing. Now at this point, whether or not she thought the Oilers' fan was really a Canucks fan didn't matter. What I couldn't believe was that a person in the rock'n'roll industry, whose probably seen a lot of shenanigans, a lot of parties, and who has probably gotten a little out of control at least once in her life, would even bat an eye at such a thing. Think of bands doing everything from wrecking hotel rooms to pissing on the audience to whatever you hooligans out there do in your crazy moments. The floor and stage were already littered with fake money from the back up band, spilled beer, and items that belong in the trash. SO EXCUSE ME for doing a little performance art in front of you Bif. I sure at some point you've seen alot worse and thought it was cool at the time. As far as I'm concerned, with that comment about the torn pennant, you loose your rock'n'roll and/or your punk points. - Sun, 23 Feb 2003 3:22pm | ||
