Anonymous band compititions suck!

p.s. band fest was rigged last year and it won't be any different this year. - Tue, 14 Jan 2003 3:11pm
Anonymous i think it's an excellent opportunity to play more than one gig in Victoria's best live music venue. who cares about the competition? it's about playing in front of people who may not normally come out to see your band. the prizes are just the icing on the cake. the opportunity to play is the meat and potatoes. negativity is lame and does not contribute to reaching your goals. - Tue, 14 Jan 2003 3:49pm
Anonymous If you're entering only to win or get a prize then you're in it for the wrong reasons. - Tue, 14 Jan 2003 3:53pm
man chowder The band I'm in played in bandfest last year. We did not "win". We've played tons-0-shows here, Nanaimo, Vancouver and have an late spring ten day jaunt to the mighty province of Alberta. We've worked hard over the last year, and take pride in what we're doing, and the direction we're headed.
We will play in bandfest again this year. Why? Bottom line, we get to do what we love, which is to play live. Oh, and we get to play to a more diverse range of people than we usually do. - Tue, 14 Jan 2003 5:19pm
