This island needs more metal heads. Why are there so many punk rockers? And Emo kids? - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 2:21am
Anonymous AGREED - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 2:34am

Anonymous honestly, i'd rather have rappers than some punks. - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 2:52am

I think what you dont understand is that the majority of the punks are all death metal and grindcore fanatics. We also seem to be the ones that have kept cheesy old 80s metal alive and kicking in the live music scene in this city. I know - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 5:47am

Yes, if it weren't for punks, I wouldn't be the metalhead I am today. - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 5:52am

However you slice it it's all good, really. You can't have one(or any genre of music)without the other. There would be no definition if there wasn't some kind of contrast. Right?
All good. Rock on.
P.S glad to see I'm not the only one up. Wanna hang? - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 5:53am

Well, I was being sarcastic.
I love aggressive punk (ie. R.D.P., Dayglo's etc...) but I started out on KISS and from there went Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back To Life and Sepultura - Morbid Visions.
Quite a jump, eh? The first punk band I really dug was Chaos U.K.
It was a tune I heard on some Friday night metal show on CFUV years ago. I like anything that is well written and rips out my guts.
If not, goodbye.
Wanna hang out? Evolution Metal Monday. That is the next drunk fest for me.
Come down and request good metal for once.
They'll have to play some eventually, right? - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 5:58am

I'll be down at Evolution on Monday, as I've spent many a nights at Metal/Harcore/Sublime/ I heard "Dyer Maker" last week Mondays. Crazy. I love Led Zep(couldn't get any cooler then John Bonham!)but A little strange for Metal/hardcore night! I had requested some NOFX but hey, you take what they give!! Whoa. - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 6:05am

Fuck 'em. They play four good tunes a night on average.

Four is a little low ball, don't ya think? I shake and bang more than that. Okay, that sounds kind of funny! You know what I mean. Are you there fairly regularly? - Sun, 22 Dec 2002 6:25am
ratcliff metalheads and punks both suck. - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 2:45pm

Out of everyone there I am actually not too regular.
I go every second week or so.
Cheap drinks and a nice view keeps me going back.
By good I mean stuff that hasn't been on the Top 30 Countdown. Overall, it's still better than your average nightclub. - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 3:15pm
Mr CaCO3 Yeah, what's up with all the different musical tastes around here? There should only be one taste for everything. - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 3:35pm

One taste. Yer crazy. If everybody only like one thing ya know how fucked our society would be. There'd be a big demand on one thing and not enough of that thing to supply it. It'd be total chaos...well, now that I think about it. It might not be that bad after all - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 3:37pm

That's what happened to The Beatles and Elvis back in the day.
That wouldn't be such a bad thing to happen to your band. - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 3:42pm

But not total, there were still other people who liked different music. If it was total, it'd be fucked - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 3:45pm

I disagree. I'd like that. It'd be good to rule the world.
But to each his own. - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 4:04pm

To rule the world would be alright. But what's the point? Power and corruption? If there really was a point to ruling the world I'd be the first guy in line to get my hands on some kind of nuclear weapon. - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 4:06pm

I ran into a friend yesterday who was bitching about no metalheads, well he said 'bangers' which in my mind is a different thing. Bah, there are lots here, you see it when a good show happens, which sucks, but oh well. what was my point? I think I have none! - Tue, 24 Dec 2002 5:15pm
