Home Cookin' - The Kids (1982 - 19 Minutes, #274)

From the 1982 Home Cookin' series, Calgary pop band The Kids, recorded five original compositions for a half hour of television in the fall of 1982. Band tracks were recorded at Smooth Rock Studios with vocals added live during taping. Their song, Too Many Days, was their single release on Heart Records, in 1982, Micheal Boge (aka Mick Spalini) takes credit for the composition.
Band members include; Michael (Mick) Boge lead vocals, Derek Bullen keyboards, Bob Robertson bass, and Rob Monty drums.
The video feature from Loverboy, "Working for the Weekend" was removed from the program due to publishing and copyright issues.
The Home Cookin' series was jointly funded by CFCN Television and CJAY 92. The broadcast could be seen on CFCN with monaural sound or, in stereo on CJAY 92. This was a unique and popular way to watch Home Cookin' in stereo in the 80's.
The series was produced and directed by Brian Vos, program host was Jim Ripley, morning man from CJAY 92, executive producers were Hugh Dunne and Bruce Nelson and sound production by Smooth Rock Studios. For a complete listing of production credits see the credit roll at the end of the show.
