Event Description

The Ironwood Fantasy Fair is a full-day immersive event on August 15, celebrating fantasy, creativity, and living imagination. From sword fighting exhibitions to wandering fae, The Spire will become a space where fantasy comes to life.

By day, guests of all ages explore a castle-like venue filled with performers, workshops, vendors, and interactive experiences. By night, the fair transforms into an adults-only soiree featuring music, atmosphere, and magical encounters.

Your musical and magical host, performing a combination of summoning spells and classic covers!
After prolonged abstinence from mortal desire he has gained powers mystical to behold. Welcome, newcomer, to the lair of the level 99 wizard…

Enchanted Forest Princess Storytime
Enjoy an interactive and kid-friendly show featuring famous fantasy princesses!
A truly magical experience for everyone who meets one of our wonderful characters.
11:30am – 12:15pm

Blades of Glory
Riveting armoured combat demonstrations not to be missed! Watch full-plated knights compete for steel supremacy in the ring.
With a mission of making learning history fun, Blades of Glory represents unforgettable experiences and thrilling activities for young and old alike.
2:00pm – 2:30pm & 5:00pm – 5:30pm

Dungeons & Improv
A fantasy themed magical adventure where anything could happen, from fighting a covetous dragon, to performing for a malicious king, the audience helps shape the story, and the Dice decides our fate!
1:15pm – 1:45pm & 4:15 – 4:45pm

Ironwood Tournament of Steel
Fast-paced and unscripted medieval duels! Ironwood Sword School puts HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) on full display with a variety of weapons, and even lets the audience take their pick. Cheer for your favourite fighters in a tournament where our fighters compete for their honour and your entertainment!
12:30pm – 1:00pm & 3:30pm – 4:00pm

Free Photos & Knightings with the King & Queen!
The mainstage is more than just a performance hall. It’s also the throne room of the Kingdom of Ironwood!
Enjoy a free drop-in photo op using the throne as a backdrop, and noble knighting ceremonies for guests of all ages.
2:45pm – 3:15pm

Anthea Fever
Anthea Feaver is a songwriter passionate about traditional folk music, a teacher with a degree in community arts education, and an old-time fiddle and banjo player. On stage, she is as likely to sing a bittersweet love song as she is to give a quick history lesson, tell a long-winded joke, or break into an upbeat tune. What shines throughout is her ability to draw people together. Whether at an intimate house concert or on a festival stage, Anthea has her audience singing and laughing along.
