Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering: Everyone—welcome Jam at 6:45pm, Open Stage at 7:30pm, Feature Performer Hank Cramer at 9:00pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door
Known for his booming bass voice, wry humour, and smooth finger-picking on a vintage flat-top guitar, Hank Cramer is one of the most popular folksingers on the West Coast! Boisterous songs of the sea are his forte, though he is equally versed in Celtic ballads, railroad tunes, and Cowboy songs. Hank is no stranger to Vancouver Island audiences, either, having performed for folk clubs from Sooke to Deep Cove, Nanaimo, Highlands, Mill Bay, and Victoria – as far back as 1995! Faith Petric, long-term leader of the San Francisco folk community, described Hank this way: “He made me laugh, and he made me cry. And that’s what good music is all about!” Welcome back to the VFMS, Hank!
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
