We’re back at Lucky Bar to celebrate one year of Hot Local Singles Presents bringing you live music events in Victoria. To celebrate one-year, we're bringing back the artist that it all started with—Quarterback Baby, with support from the divine Chai Sully! Quarterback Baby is returning to this sleepy ass lil’ town to throw it back harder than you thought was possible while dropping HIS DEBUT ALBUM Hypersexual Heartbreak (!!!). With Quarterback & Chai brining immaculate r&b and hip-hop bops to the stage, you'd be a fool to miss these divas.
Quarterback Baby is a Jamaican-Irish singer-songwriter/producer/performer currently based in Toronto. Having played many festivals since 2016 throughout Canada, including sharing stages with notable artists such as Daniel Caesar, Rebecca Black, Empress Of, Haley Blais, Beverly Glenn Copeland & Baby Tate. Quinn Bates, AKA Quarterback Baby took the pandemic by storm to learn how to self produce, leaving him not only a trained performer but also a studio mogul. Influenced by R&B, house, dance, and hyperpop, his music features feminine, angelic vocals mixed with gritty distortion. If you like excitement, sex, gender-f***, body positivity, queerness, innovative creatives, & heartfelt lyrics, then you will love Quarterback Baby.
Chai Sully is a rnb fairy and rap diva. Emerging neo-soul artist, her music combines organic soul vocals with modern production and classic hip hop lyricism. It takes a village, she never could have done it without her crazy aunt Bjork and her childhood vocal coach “Dangerously in Love” by Beyoncé. In reality, Chai grew up with a DJ parent, jumping from gig to gig between the quiet life of Canada’s west coast islands and the bustling cities of southern California. She gained her creative confidence as a competitive dancer and choreographer. Chai is a tactfully witty straight shooter and a creative force in songwriting, production, choreography, vocals, and fashion.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
