Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering; Everyone welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Allison Brown & Dan Belgue starting at 9:00pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door

Allison Brown and Dan Belgue met many years ago in Ontario and perform together when one or the other crosses the continent. Hailing from Ontario's deep south, near Windsor, Allison brings her distinctly tuneful, powerful voice and delicate finger-style guitar playing to her collection of hand-picked Roots Music repertoire and her own original songs.

Dan is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lekwungen Territory/Victoria, BC. Rooted in authentic, introspective songwriting, Dan creates a compelling brand of contemporary Folk music where organic acoustic Folk songs collide with cosmic ambience, noisy guitar creeks with the winter rainforest, and claw-hammer banjo plunks along like rocks skipping on a stream!
