Contemporary Dance/France & Algiers

Choreography: Hervé Koubi
Music: Sir Georg Solti & Wiener Philharmoniker, W.A. Mozart, Gabriel Fauré & Traditional Algerian music

After virtual performances during the pandemic seasons, Dance Victoria knew they had to find a way to bring this incredible company to Victoria! Wearing headgear inspired by Swarovski, 13 street dancers from Algeria, Morocco, France and Burkina Faso evoke the humanity of the early settlers of the Mediterranean basin, whirling dark skirts and moving with stunning fluidity against a musical backdrop of Mozart, Fauré and traditional Algerian melodies.
