A celebration and live recording of exceptional Kingston music!


An initiative of QR The Band, Give Me A Break pairs emerging Kingston artists with professional music producers to record their songs at The Bathouse Studio in Bath, Ontario. The initiative culminates in the release of an album, plus an annual performance and awards gala at the Kingston Grand Theatre showcasing and celebrating the work of these exceptional, local musicians:

Plus a live performance and final jam featuring The Hired Guns and Mountain Head!

These performances will be recorded and released as side B to the recordings from The Bathouse sessions. Pre-order your Give Me a Break LP from Zap Records.

This event will be broadcast live-to-air on Amherst Island Radio CJAI 101.3 FM.

Advance tickets start at $17.70 each (plus HST and fees) and are available for purchase online here or in person at the Kingston Grand Theatre box office.

Donations over $50.00 will receive two tickets for the annual Give Me A Break concert and awards gala.
