April 23 -- Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performer Kevin Barr at 9pm, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash, Everyone welcome!

Kevin Barr is a politically informed musician who has worn many hats over the years. Known as a guitarist and a Juno Award-nominated singer-songwriter, Kevin is also a community activist and was a Member of the Yukon Legislative Assembly. A favourite with audiences in Canada, the U.S., and Europe, he has shared the stage with Boyd Benjamin, West Dawson Ramblers, KD Lang, Fred Eaglesmith, Kim Beggs, Fred Penner, and Peter Rohan, and has opened shows for the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Ian Tyson, BJ Thomas, and Buffy St. Marie, to name but a few. A Juno nominee for his work with the Undertakin’ Daddies, Kevin captures you with his heartfelt tunes and will have you stomping your feet!
