For nearly fifty years, legendary Blues icon Jim Byrnes has crooned, drawled, belted, hollered and sweet- talked more songs into a microphone than most people ever get to hear in a single lifetime.
Joined by his band, Jim is a singularly unique artist, whose sultry blues, familiar folk songs and stories delivered with evocative, smoky vocals electrify the stage.
Jim has since appeared with a virtual Who’s Who of the blues, from Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker to Taj Mahal and Robert Cray, racking up multiple awards and honours— Maple Blues Awards, Western Canadian Music Awards, three JUNOTM awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards — and was awarded the Order of Canada, acknowledging the impact he has had on the Canadian arts scene as well as for his philanthropic work.
An actor as well as a musician, Jim has appeared in numerous films and television series.
