HOPPIN’ MAD JAZZ BAND

With a stunning backdrop of Willows Beach, these outdoor concerts gather the community to celebrate music and the arts. Our concerts highlight local musicians with emerging artists as opening acts. Presented by Oak Bay Parks, Recreation, and Culture.

Hoppin’ Mad are serious musicians who don’t take themselves too seriously. Steeped in
traditional jazz, they’re a crowd friendly band for people who didn’t think they liked jazz and aficionados alike! Fronted by Australian-born trumpeter and saxophonist Simon Stribling, Hoppin’ Mad brews a fine mix of jazz standards, jump swing tunes and a few Australian gems.

Toe tapping and fun to watch or dance to, this music is infectious and just about the most fun you can have this side of New Orleans!
