Originally from Taiwan, Ed is an award-winning comic who moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, thinking he was on vacation at his father's discretion. Since then, Ed has performed all over the world. He was voted "Best Vancouver Comedian of 2016" by Vancouver Courier Magazine, and "Best Vancouver Comedian of 2015" by Vancouver Courier Magazine and The Georgia Straight, and named "Comic to Watch" in 2018 by Reader's Digest Magazine and in 2015 by Canadian Immigrant Magazine. He has also appeared on AXS TV's "Gotham Comedy Live", "Laughs" on FOX, TED talks, and XM Radio. He was also invited to perform at the Just For Laughs Northwest Comedy Festival, the Hong Kong Comedy Festival, NXNE, San Francisco Comedy Festival, and many more. In 2021, Ed became the first comedian of Taiwanese-Canadian descent to release a full one hour comedy special titled “Candy & Smiley” with Comedy Dynamics. The special was named “Top 10 Comedy Specials of 2021” by Paste Magazine. The special is currently streaming on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Ed's tweets have also been featured on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon", Buzzfeed, and The Huffington Post. Ed is still currently on vacation with his potato-like dogs.
Dan Duvall is a Victoria/Vancouver based comedian who has performed at Just For Laughs Northwest, across Canada, the US and Europe. He was the subject of the CraveTV documentary Funny Tweets, and in addition to those things, he's also been a professional comedy writer for the better part of a decade with his work appearing on Cartoon Network (Canada), Adult Swim and all over the internet. When he's not busy soaking in the big time fame and fortune that comes with being in Canadian comedy, Dan is also one half of The Hate Locker Podcast AND the Podcast Network director at Comedy Here Often with 604 Records. He does not currently have Covid 19.

≫ Land Acknowledgement ≪
▪︎ We would like to gratefully acknowledge that the territory on which this event takes place is on the traditional, stolen, unceded land of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. We acknowledge the rich cultural history of the many peoples and rituals that have been affected by the ongoing process of dispossession and colonialism. We hold this understanding in our interactions and engagements with this land and its people.
≫ Accessibility ≪
▪︎ Our seating is a combination of high tables, bar stools, and cocktail tables with chairs. If you require assistance with this, please make a note when purchasing tickets or contact us at [email protected] and VEC staff will do their best to accommodate.
▪︎ There are three multi-user, gender-inclusive bathrooms with stalls. One bathroom has a larger stall with its own sink and a grab bar (more details in the ‘Bathrooms’ section).
▪︎ The Victoria Event Centre currently does not have an operational elevator, and there is one long flight of stairs at the venue entrance. The only way into the VEC is up 27 wood stairs, 11″ deep, 6″ high. There are wooden 2.5” handrails 38” up the wall on each side of the staircase (54” apart, so not graspable on both sides at once. See further details in the ‘Getting Inside’ section)
▪︎ If you would like to attend the event but require assistance with accessing the space, please contact us at [email protected] and VEC staff will do their best to accommodate.
▪︎ Inside the Victoria Event Centre there is a gender inclusive wheelchair accessible washroom that technically fits necessary size dimensions, but is missing a bar and a handrail beside the toilet. There are two stalls in the washroom, but only one of these has been renovated to meet 5'x5' wheelchair clearance.
