Event Description

Guided by Nature Sketch artist and naturalist Jen Burgess, this 8-week course will cover our Nature Sketch curriculum of drawing instruction using a pencil and sketchbook, combined with nature-study that will supplement your own adventures outdoors! Because we are Canada-wide, we will make general observations about the changing seasons, how to identify the plants and animals we see, and discuss broader environmental themes. We will also discuss the career and art of Robert Bateman with a focus on his values and creative processes.

Ticket cost is per household. All minors must have an accompanying guardian present.

All classes will be made available to stream asynchronously if you cannot make the times listed! Instructors are also available by email for individual critiques or questions outside of class time.

Date: Every Friday between March 19 – May 14, 2021 (No class on April 2)
Time: 6 – 8 PM Pacific Time
Price: $160 + GST

Supplies needed:

Good quality sketchbook
HB pencil
White eraser
