Event Description

The birth of her son marked a new departure in Erin Hilchie’s artistic practice and sparked this series of feminist collages titled, A Piece of Motherhood. Pairing the everyday, life-giving necessity of breastfeeding with polished greco-roman sculptures, Erin hopes to bring to light the postpartum women’s struggle with new motherhood through these witty and absurd collages.
