"Composer and pianist Evan Crofton, also known by his pseudonym Alistair Blu, returns to Hermann’s Jazz Club on Thursday, January 2nd to perform with a new trio of local talent, featuring Damian Graham on drums and Joey Smith on bass. The group will dive deep into the catalogues of composers such as Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, and Duke Ellington to create an evening that highlights some of jazz’s finest arrangements and compositions. Originally from Victoria, BC, Crofton now resides in Montréal, Québec and performs and tours regularly with the 8-piece, Canadian soul-collective, Busty and the Bass."
