Operating somewhere between drone and trip-hop, Ziibiwan’s unexpected weaving between amorphous and beat-driven music is the sonic equivalent of insatiable hunger. They’re currently working on their first full-length LP for early 2020 release. Ziibiwan has also composed music for two short animations by Amanda Strong which premiered at TIFF. Ziibiwan is Anishinaabe from Wiikwemkoong, based in Tkaronto (Toronto).

All door proceeds will be donated to the Unist'ot'en Camp. Learn more:

This event will take place on unceded Coast Salish Territories, specifically of the Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ peoples. As we focus on building artistic and cultural bridges, we acknowledge the rich cultural history of the many peoples and rituals that have been affected by the ongoing process of dispossession and colonialism. We hold this understanding in our interactions and engagements with this land and its people.

The First People's House is a wheelchair accessible venue. There will be seating available at this event.
