Wonderment returns for its 2nd evening installation of the season, taking place in the historic Congregation Emanu-El Synagogue at Blanshard and Pandora. This elegantly modest venue features vaulted ceilings with wood and plaster surfacing that combine for spectacular acoustics.

SURROUNDED BY A RADIANCE

The Book of Ezekiel features some of the most visionary passages of Western prophetic lore. For all the attention given to the visual, not a whole lot of information is given with respect to Ezekiel's sonic experience. Drawing from the Book of Ezekiel, Midrash and Kabbalistic Sources, Surrounded By A Radiance will attempt a sonic visualization using both hardware and soft synthesis.

DOMINION OF BEING

Music for the Inner Life.

The book of splendor (Zohar) is opened and drone soundscapes begin. Candles; we explore inner light and inner life. Flowing via picturesque autism spectrum generated sub-tones, revealing ambient hidden inner worlds, welcoming open hearts into new benevolent soundscapes—all happening LIVE—in the dominion of being.

Dominion of Being are an electronic soundscape collective based in Victoria, BC, Canada since 2016. Heather Mitchell and Joseph Sheppard are its core members with many collaborative guests. Dominion of Being explores themes of neuroscience, philosophy, mysticism, and wellbeing—transforming spaces with intentional sound.

Door open at 7:30pm, performances begins at 8:00pm.

Admission to this event is by donation.
