METAFLOOR (Calgary - Sub Chalkra, Aufect, Black Tuna)

Blaine Kingcott, under his DJ and producer alias, Metafloor; founded the Sub Chakra crew over five years ago. Making waves and relentlessly hustling proper sound system culture ever since. Never one to limit himself to one facet of the music profession, Kingcott is well known throughout the music community for his tireless work as a DJ, producer, and promoter.

Artistically his roots stretch deep into the dungeons of the 140 BPM realm, though recently have seen growth and expansion into new territory, exploring the sounds of half-time, footwork and jungle. His productions have seen support from labels far and wide including Aufect Platinum, Modern Ruin, Black Tuna, and Mat the Alien’s Really Good Recordings. Additionally, his skills as a selector have carried him to the stages of Bass Coast, Shambhala, Astral Harvest and more. With these experiences further boosting his levels of inspiration. Wherever Metafloor may be found, his audience can trust to also find newness, the “meta,” channeling sound, not hype

OPENEND (Calgary - Noctilux Collective)

Calgary based producer and DJ ‘OpenEnd’ shines aptitude throughout his craft. He’s grounded himself a solid platform in the Noctilux Collective over the last few years that has enabled him to express his personal vision through music and art. OpenEnd sound is a consistent blend of jungle & bass, slow/fast rhythm, and minimal halftime that indicates a dynamic story throughout his DJ sets no matter what time and place.

His experience and commitment has landed him international bookings in Australia, Costa Rica, and other notable music festivals in Canada such as Shambhala and Motion Notion. He has performed alongside artists such as Dbridge, Amit, Deft and Fixate to name a few. Going into 2018, OE maintains his direct focus on writing music and keeping his head down as a full-time design student in Calgary. With forthcoming releases on Noctilux, a handful of dubs and collaborations in the works, OpenEnd is without question a selector to keep your eyes/ears on. Keep it locked.

TYLER SHOCK (Winnipeg - Dubversified Culture)

Starting out DJing in Manchester, UK resident DJ Tyler Shock brought home to Canada a dark and weighty style heavily influenced by the dark textures of underground UK dubstep, grime, and drum and bass labels such as Critical records and Deep Medi.

Upon moving to Victoria out of Winnipeg, Tyler has continued developing a unique and varying style, taking in the sounds of West Coast glitch hop and bass house to develop an arsenal covering a wide range of styles and genres, able to step up and deliver selections for any mood or occasion.

BLACKOUT (Montreal - Dubversified Culture, Bad Rabbit)

Originally from Québec, Blackout started mixing house and hip hop in 2010. Blackout has rocked crowds of 5000, and his underground flavor gets bodies moving whenever he plays.
Blackout career started in 2010 on Vinyl mixing Hip-hop and now you can truly feel his past through his music when it comes to the Gangster House he plays or the Scratch routine he adds to his 87’s to 110’s BPM Bass music. Blackout is also part of DJ Duo Bad Rabbit with L.A.'s Nova Jade, and also founded Dubversified Culture with Tyler Shock.
